Assumption Church
340, Olmstead Street
Assumption Parish was created at the request of English-speaking parishioners who wished to have their own place of worship, instead of sharing the church of Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes with French-speaking parishioners.
The English-speaking Catholics of Vanier were granted their new parish in 1931, and their first place of worship was an abandoned United Church building.
The present church of Assumption Parish was built in 1941.
