150 Montréal Road. Artist: David Yeatman (2002)

Georges P. Vanier, the first French Canadian Governor General, is depicted with his wife and two RCMP officers coming up on Cummings Bridge. The painting was inaugurated on September 20th, 2002 by Governor General Adrienne Clarkson.

In 1969, Mayor Gérard Grandmaître changed the name of his city from Eastview to Vanier, in honour of Georges Vanier, to acknowledge the Francophone reality within the city.
