Come join the dynamic team of volunteers at the Vanier Museopark!

The Museopark's Volunteers
The Museopark's Volunteers

Volunteers are the pillars of the Museopark. Your time and your aptitudes are great contributors to our strength and dynamism. Volunteers allow further development and greater promotion and appeal of our francophone heritage and culture.

Come join our dynamic team of volunteers and take part in the realization of new programs as part of the “Vanier-on-the-Ottawa; today for tomorrow” exhibition.

You can lend a hand in one of the many available positions:

  • Reception;
  • Tour guide (guided tours);
  • Workshop and conference moderators.

Or, if you prefer to work behind the scenes, alongside the Museopark’s specialists:

  • Collection management;
  • Research;
  • Writing & editing;
  • Educational programs development;
  • Communications;
  • Administrative services and more.

We also need volunteers to help out at our charity bingo nights.

As a Museopark volunteer, you will be treated fairly and respectfully, as are our employees. All volunteers submit to a screening process (criminal record check, previous history and references). The Museopark offers free training and all the necessary resources to allow all volunteers to have a valuable and rewarding experience, as well as learn and develop new talents.

When you volunteer at the Muséoparc Vanier Museopark, your suggestions are always taken into account. You will benefit from:

  • Access to the exhibition;
  • Priority invitations to our activities and special events;
  • Special receptions given each year to honor our volunteers.

When you volunteer at the Museopark, you can also become a member and obtain the right to vote at the Board meetings, get rebates at the Museoboutique and many more advantages.

Please note that all volunteers must have excellent written and oral communications skills in French. The Muséoparc Vanier Museopark is a French work environment.
